Anne Jarvis has over 25 years personal experience of offering specialised legal help in matters relating to relationship and family breakdown. Anne is one of the most experienced practitioners in this field in the Harrogate area and is a past president of the Harrogate Law Society.

Anne has for many years had close relations with the Family Mediation Service in Harrogate and is a staunch supporter of their approach. Her experience of the broad spectrum of human problems and peccadilloes encourage her to seek imaginative solutions or alternatives that may not have been considered previously.

Anne founded this practice in 1999 and has since offered exclusive specialist legal advice in all areas of family law. Anne is Resolution accredited and is also a member of the Law Society Family Law Panel and was a Council member of the Law Society of England and Wales, representing Yorkshire.

Anne writes monthly articles for magazines, and you can hear Anne regularly on local radio, doing a live broadcast on Stray FM’s Legal Eagles. 

Angela Moores - Solicitor

Angela Moores has over 20 years experience specialising in Family Law and is a member of Resolution – and is part of their national training committee.

Angela is one of the few female lawyers in the North of England to have Resolution accreditation in Financial Provision level II, dealing with complex financial settlements on divorce. These regularly involve complex business interests, property or share portfolios, pensions and overseas assets.

Whilst specialising in high value divorce settlements, Angela covers all aspects of family law including pre nuptial agreements, interim arrangements on separation, divorce and financial settlements, advice on cohabitation and property disputes, children’s issues including residence and contact and financial support for children. Angela regularly writes articles and speaks at seminars and has contributed to Humphreys Family Proceedings publication.

Angela adheres to the Resolution code of conduct in attempting to resolve family law issues in a constructive and conciliatory manner where possible whilst at the same time being cost aware. Angela’s open and honest approach, make her popular with all range of family law clients.

Francina C Whelan LLB - Assistant Solicitor 

Fran Whelan is a solicitor who has over 14 years experience specialising in all aspects of family breakdown, dealing with resolving financial disputes and cases involving children. Fran is a member of the Law Society Family Law Panel this accreditation recognising her expertise in this area of Law.

Fran is a member of Resolution. Fran is also collaboratively trained and accredited by Resolution as a Collaborative Lawyer, totally supportive of their approach to resolving family disputes outside the court forum. Collaboration facilitates and empowers people to find their own tailor made solutions.

Fran has considerable expertise in advising and representing those who suffer a disability and is a member of the Law Society Mental Health Review Panel.
